How to Be Reasonable talk by Rebecca Fox at Chichester 18th September 2018

Rebecca cast her first magic spell at the age of 13. Some of her beliefs made here happy, others were frightening. Eventually, she realised that she needed a method to examine her beliefs and discovered skepticism.
Her wonderful comic book How to Be Reasonable presents the skeptical way of thinking: "prioritising reason and evidence whilst trying to remain fair and open-minded".
More than just an introduction to skepticism though, her book powerfully illustrates the emotional hold our beliefs have over us, their potential for harm, the struggle to break free of irrational ones and the happiness this brings.
Rebecca is an entertaining advocate for skepticism, especially for young adults. I thoroughly recommend reading her book or attending one of her talks.
